RB Golf Club & Resort is looking for a motivated individual who wants to be behind the scenes in a fantastic restaurant overlooking Bridgeport Lake. Lakeview Tavern & Grill is seeking a position for a full-time line cook to prepare food and set up stations to the exact Head Chef specifications. We focus on local products and gourmet seasonal ingredients to inspire guests. Our food and service are driven by local favorites in a fast-paced based atmosphere. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with hospitality operations experience essential.
Compensation: Starting at $9.00, based on expereince.
Job Description:
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with their daily tasks.
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
Stock inventory appropriately.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Other duties as neccessary.
Requirements:
Great teamwork skills and attention to detail.
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Familiar with industries best practices.
Evenings and weekends required.
Serve Safe Certification or Culinary School diploma preferred.
